color and pigments composition......
I would love to continue with our quest for abstraction possibly be more specific with the ideas about imagery, thinking more and more what is important to you personally, figure, faces. people, landscape. etc using abstraction to create the image based on those ideas. I would like everyone to come closer and closer to a personal style and visual language.
I will have some assignments and talk about styles and techniques with examples from art history.
With the encaustics collage elements can be incorporated, printed matter, photos, organic stuff, writing, pieces of paintings that did not work and have maybe one area you love. etc.
That will include the encaustic materials and use of equipment the wax and pigments, 3 encaustic panels and some paper to work on for each person for one day out of the 3 days of workshop. I have two workstations for the encaustic one to work on paper like a mono print, and one to paint with the wax on a specially prepared panel that is why we have to rotate the workstaions.
